HIGH POINT, N.C. — The International Textile Market Association chose a design by Amy Brodnax, a third-year student at University of Georgia, to be featured on the cover of the next Showtime™ directory and magazine.
The ITMA received a total of nine entries in the cover design contest. Brodnax’s key-motif print was selected because it reflects upcoming trends, said ITMA Director Catherine Morsell.
“From what we have heard, the camouflage look and berry-family reds are on target,” Morsell said of the winning design.
Brodnax, a Lilburn, Ga., native, will start her final semester this fall in the Fabric Design department. She is the first University of Georgia student to win the semi-annual cover design competition.
Showtime™ fabric market runs noon Sunday, June 1, through 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in High Point.
Founded in 1990, the ITMA is a non-profit trade association that produces Showtime™ in December and June for more than 200 member companies. For more information, visit www.itma-showtime.com or call the ITMA at 336-885-6842.
