HIGH POINT, N.C. — The International Textile Market Association (ITMA) will hold its annual membership meeting April 9, 2008, in High Point to coincide with Furniture Market.
“As a trade organization, we are always interested in receiving input and hearing concerns and suggestions from our 230 member companies, as well as from their sales representatives. Their collective wisdom and creativity helps the entire industry move forward in challenging times and in a dynamic marketplace,” said ITMA Director Catherine Morsell. “As a convenience to our many members who attend Furniture Market in High Point, the ITMA board chose to hold its membership meeting at that time.”
Discussion items on the April 9 agenda include new ways the organization can market membership and increase participation and attendance at Showtime, such as optimizing the venue and adjusting the schedule for the event.
“The dialog that starts at this membership meeting will likely spawn a focus group of forward-thinkers who can continue to evaluate the present and prepare for a future that will benefit the entire membership,” said Ms. Morsell.
The meeting will start at 8 a.m. April 9 at the String and Splinter Club in High Point. Reservations are required by calling the ITMA office at 336-885-6842 or by email to itmashowtime@northstate.net.
Founded in 1990, the ITMA is a non-profit trade association that produces Showtime for its member companies, mostly home furnishings textile manufacturers. The next Showtime will be June 1-4, 2008, in High Point.
